Museo dell'Ara Pacis
A retrospective which, with approximately 360 costumes and rare, archived materials celebratesValentino’s 45 years of creativity, through a spectacular display at the Museum of the Ara Pacis.
The exhibition is set around the Ara Pacis - an altar which is one of the most important pieces of Augustan art and historically has symbolised peace and prosperity - and spreads througout the museum, creating an exact chronological retrospective, visible to passers by and accentuating the ties which bind Valentino to Rome and Rome to Valentino.
