Roma e la Calabria insieme per la storia

The Gospels of Augustus and the Julia’s Ars Amandi: a meeting held in the framework of the cultural twinning between the cities of Rome and Reggio Calabria.
An art exchange between two of the most important cultural institutions of the cities – the Capitoline Museums and the Municipal Art Gallery of Reggio Calabria – was the first act of the twinning between Rome and Reggio Calabria, started in the autumn of 2009.
The old friendship and the cultural ties between the two cities are enlivened in 2010 with a meeting titled: Rome and Calabria together for history, organized by the Municipality of Rome on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 6.00 pm at the Auditorium of the Museum of the Pacis. The aim of the meeting is to promote cultural exchanges, enhancing the rich historic and artistic heritage of the two cities, mutual knowledge and cooperation. The event was strongly advocated and promoted by the Consigliere Comunale Delegato ai Rapporti con la Comunità Calabrese per la città di Roma Domenico Naccari.

Umberto Broccoli, Superintendent of Cultural Heritage of the City of Rome;
Umberto Croppi, Councillor for Cultural Policies and Communication of the City of Rome;
Nazzareno Salerno, President of the Culture Council Commission of the Calabria Region;
Giuseppe Scopelliti, President of the Calabria Region;
Giovanni Alemanno, Mayor of Roma;
Felice Costabile, Professor of Roman Law.
